Social Studies
Grade 4:
Most students worked diligently on their research. Four students have finished researching....WOW! When you are finished you will be printing off your research and using it to write one paragraph about each topic IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Remember... you can gather information at home.
Grade 5:
In order to complete the brochure: Early Contact Between European Explorers and First Nations Peoples you must read the sections in your textbook CAREFULLY.
Tomorrow you will be building your artifact. You must bring all your materials. After you finish, you will continue working on your brochure. Remember to use as many natural materials as possible.
Math
Today we worked with in groups to place fractions, whole numbers and decimals on a number line. Your bench mark labels on the number line are 0, half and 1.
Use your fractions strips to help you compare fractions with different denominators and find equivalent fractions.
The quiz tomorrow will be on equivalent fractions and comparing and ordering fractions.
Watch the videos from yesterday's post for review.
Family Life
Today we talked about the promises made in marriage and one special sign of love between a husband and wife is the gift of children.
