Math
Great effort writing your math test today. A few students need to finish up. If you struggled with this unit, don't panic. Learning the basic operations (+/-/x/ ÷) is something that you will continue to do every year. Keep practicing your facts. You will need the basic facts for our units on area, volume, capacity and fractions.

In grade four math we discussed square metres. What would you measure in square metres? Constructing a square metre wasn't as easy as you thought. Good job!

Grade fives, a little review from last year. Were you able to design your coaster with one colour having an area of half another colour?

Social Studies
Today we wrote a shared paragraph describing the differences and similarities in physical features of Ancient Rome and Judea. Make sure you complete your chart describing the benefits and challenges of three different landforms and read to prepare for tomorrow's lesson.

Can you construct a useful object from materials found naturally in this area? What tools did you use? What natural materials? Make sure you answer the artifact question on page 113 and read to prepare for tomorrow's lesson.

Science
Please continue to practice reading your book on Matter. Tomorrow you will be reading with your group, asking and answering questions and coaching your teammates. A short quiz will follow.
