Science
Today we discussed a little bit about how habitats are similar and different and the INTERDEPENDENCE between plants and animals in a habitat. For example, if you cut down an oak tree in a park, what would be the effect on the habitat? What else would be affected by absence of the tree? How is a tropical rainforest different than a prairie grassland? Which would have more plants and animals? Why?

Computers
The supply teacher reported that you worked really hard on publishing your autobiography poems. Can't wait to see them. They look very sharp with the watermark.

Art
Some very creative rocks were painted today. Thank you to those students who brought extra rocks. No one was without a rock!

Assembly
Do you remember the important bus safety tips presented today during the assembly. Where is the danger zone? Which direction should you walk on a road without a sidewalk? What are all the ways you can exit a bus in an emergency? Thank you to Reece and Emma who participated for our class.

Math
Check the blog this weekend for some sample test questions. The first math test is on Monday!

Reminder:
  • Cross country is on Wednesday, October 7 @ Regina Mundi. Please practice running this weekend.
  • Next week we launch our canned food drive. Bring a perishable food to share with those in need.
