Writing
Just a few students need to finish their revisions for their autobiography poem. Many of you have published them using Microsoft Word and have even learned to insert a watermark in the background.... very cool!
Math
Grade 4: Clowns with red noses, glasses and hats. Today we used a 100s chart to solve problems with clowns. The assigned problems were a little tricky.
Draw a calendar to solve this problem. Start at Tuesday. Use a different mark or colour to represent Brittney and Liam, Mom and Dad. It is just like the clown problem except you're using a calendar instead of a 100s chart.
Grade 5: You deserve a medal for you patience today. We only got through two problems. They were tricky as well. When they ask you to describe how to get to the next design in problem one, don't think of numbers but think of where and how you put blue triangles pointing down into green triangles.
Computers
Today you received your login and passwords for Prodigy Math. If you have any spare time, it's a good way to practice your math skills.
Science
We reviewed some topics we have discussed so far. Tomorrow we will continue with discussions on producers and the three types of consumers. Then onto decomposers.
