Today we bumped up two answers. Although it takes a long time to try to make an answer better, it is worth it. Stay engaged during discussions, even though it might not be your answer.
Finding words in the story with the ER sound was a bit more challenging than we expected. An "r" can change the sound of a vowel in word.
We noticed that -er, -ar, -ur, -ear, -ur, -re can all make the ER sound.

Remember when finding different combinations of blocks to represents numbers, when you take away one from a place, you give TEN.
Example: Represent 8371 three different ways using base-ten blocks.
