Sorry for the late post!

Literacy
Today we started our new novel......
"Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang". I know you're going to love it! It is written by Canadian author Mordecai Richler.

In chapter 1 we met Jacob, his siblings and his parents. Explain to a parent why they call him Jacob Two-Two? What's a greengrocer? We talked about using context clues to find the meaning of words and to also help with decoding. We'll be finishing up questions for bell work tomorrow morning. I wonder what will happen to Jacob on his quest for two firm red tomatoes...
