Almost everyone has linked paper clips and elastic. Today we organized our data into a STEM AND LEAF PLOT. Explain to your parent how a stem and leaf plot works. What are the parts called? Why is it a good way to organize data?

Today we read about a decision made by the Toronto City Council concerning the fate of the elephants in captivity at the Toronto Zoo. The councilors made the decision to move the elephants to PAWS, a sanctuary in California, after four elephants died in at the Toronto Zoo. The Fifth Estate followed their journey from Toronto to California.

Reminders:
Today a note was put in your agenda to remind you what you need to complete by the end of the week. Some of you have completed an assignment and have either handed it in without a name or have not printed it off the computer. It is your responsibility to stay in for lunch recesses and if possible after school to get your work done. Please discuss a plan with a parent and review it with me. With the exception of your animal power point, these assignments are LONG OVERDUE.

We are currently running a hat and mittens drive. We are collecting donations of new hats and mittens to distribute again to those in need this Advent season. All hats and mittens will be placed on the Christmas tree in the front foyer.
