Self Assessment
Today we used a rubric to self-assess our learning skills in Literacy and Math. Self-assessment is to help you get better. The more honest you are, the easier it is to set goals. You will be sharing your assessment with your parent(s) and then you will be setting some goals with them on Thursday during student led conferences. You must come to the school on Thursday evenings to share your learning with your parent(s). We will continue preparing for student-led conferences tomorrow.
Math
Rounding is as easy as 1 - 2 - 3.....
1. Draw your number line and label the two end points (What 10 000s, 1000s, 100s or 10s is your number between?)
2. Find the half-way point (_500, _ _ 50 or _ _ _ 5)
3. Where is your number on the number? Look at which end it is closer to.
Round to the nearest 10 000, 1000, 100 and 10 (use 3 or 4 number lines for each number)
