Today we celebrated our first school mass at St. George with Father John. Do you remember the gifts that Father had at the front? Don't forget his message.... we all have gifts and talents and we are called to share them with others.
Because of all the interruptions this week, I'm moving the Patterning Test from Thursday to next Monday. More time for review.
Grade 4: Please complete Mid-Chapter Review. If you are able to do the questions without any difficulties, you should be ready for the test!
Grade 5: Be ready to share the solution to your problem with the rest of the class tomorrow.
We had lots of fun today trying to guess what was in the box. Some very good questions were asked that allowed you to conclude the identity of the mystery object. See if your parent can figure it out!

Today we began looking at the structure of the federal government.
We are practising the reading strategy of summarizing non-fiction using keywords. So far you should know the official head of state (title and name) and the title of the her representative.
We began looking at the EXECUTIVE BRANCH of the federal government with includes the prime minister, governor general, the cabinet and government departments.
So, who are all these people? It's important to know who is who in Canada particularly with the federal election coming up quickly. Try to find out the names of these mystery people....
