Family Life
Today we began Theme 1 of Family Life "Created and Loved by God". In this theme we explore how we are made in God' image and how God loves and knows each one of us. Share with your parents the meaning of the scripture below.
Math
In grade four we continued describing, extending and creating shape patterns. Share with your parents how we can change a shape pattern into a letter pattern.
In grade five we explored growing shape patterns. Students chose a letter and enlarged it using counters in the same way and recorded the number pattern in a t-chart.
Computers
Today we began working with a wonderful software, Bitstrips for Schools. Most students were able to log into the class site and create an avatar. This program can be accessed from home. Our class code is spec45 (short for spectacular grade 4/5).
- Please return all forms sent home by the office today, particularly student verification forms as soon as possible.
- Thank you to all parents who have remitted $9.00 for agendas. Agendas should be signed by a parent daily.
- Tomorrow we have cross country practice..... don't forget your gym clothes!
- Tomorrow we begin READING BUDDIES. If you have a favourite picture book at home that you would like to read to your buddy, please bring it tomorrow!
