We're in the home stretch....
- Four students are putting the finishing touches on their books (all done)
- Most students have their sub-topics complete with graphics
- You want to be done your introduction and conclusion tomorrow
- About the Author / title and dedication pages should be completed on Monday
- Proof reading on Wednesday
- Friday (tomorrow) is the last day to complete brochures for grade fives
- Stay after school tomorrow to finish (either grade)
Math
Using algebraic expressions and equations to solve problems is tricky. Make sure you understand the meaning of the numbers and the variable in an equation. We will have a short quiz on Monday. Study your booklet.
Health
We are aiming to present "Talk Shows" tomorrow. Be prepared and know the short and long term effects and refusal strategies of smoking or alcohol.
Play Day
Play Day was a huge success. All the prayers this morning to stop the rain worked! Please make sure you thank Mrs. Lucier and the grade 7/8 students for organizing and running the day.
Reminders:
- Tuesday, June 21st is our trip to the ROM. You must be at school at 6:15 am. The bus will leave at 6:30 am sharp. No delays or we will get stuck in traffic in Toronto and be late for our tour. A note will go home tomorrow with a few reminders.
- The cost to parents (bus) is $20.00
- Junior Design Challenge will take place next week.
- End of the year mass at St. George tomorrow @ 9:30 am
