Social Studies
Grade 4:
Today we learned about wedding customs in Judea and Ancient Rome. Were you surprised at the similarities? Some of our wedding traditions come from early societies. The roles of men, women and children were more traditional and very different than those in the First Nations communities. Please complete your Venn diagrams for each of those topics.

How do you find distance on a map?

Grade 5:
Why do you think the First Nations spirituality is closely linked to the gifts of nature? Are there similarities between the Seven Sacred Grandfather Teachings and our Catholic Social Teachings listed on page 7 of your text book?

What is a Shaman?
On Wednesday we will continue working on beliefs.
Make sure you have finished your charts comparing the Innu and the Wendat.
