Literacy
Making a time line of the most important events in the story was quite a challenge! Mrs. Van Oirschot had some difficulty getting a sense of the story from your time lines. A summary should communicate the main ideas of the plot to someone who has not read the story. We will continue on Monday.

Math
Today we practiced placing numbers on a number line. This is the first step to help us with rounding, which can be challenging.

Examples:
Think of three numbers between 2000 and 4000 (no zero digits).
Put those three numbers on a number line.
Remember to label the landmark numbers in between 2000 and 4000 i.e. 2500, 3000, 3500. That will help you place the numbers in the correct place.

Think of three numbers between 18 000 and 21 000.
Put those three numbers on a number line.

3 pages of review for each grade... most students are done!

Science
It's taking a LONG time to complete the three Habitats assignments. There is a steep learning curve when using a new program. Remember your growth mindset.... keep focused and working hard. If you try.... learning will come!

Religion
We had our first group present their play today and what an amazing job they did.
Monday we will continue with the next group to present. All groups have rehearsed. Keep practicing your lines so they are FLUENT (sound like real talking).

Reminders:
Tomorrow is Halloween Bowling and orange and black day.
It's sure to be a spooktacular day tomorrow!
