Writing
Today we read a lovely book with excellent word choice, "Hello Harvest Moon".  When you complete your autobiography prewriting sheet, make sure you use your Book Of Lists. Use not only descriptive words to paint a picture but phrases just like in the book. For example I could write...
Who loves spending time with family....
But this is more detailed and descriptive..
Who loves laughing and sipping lattes on lazy Sunday afternoons with my sisters....
Be creative with your ideas and don't forget those "pizzazzy" words!

Math
Grade 4: What is an Inukshuk? What is the plural? Share the video with a parent.....

Today we looked at using t-charts to help us find patterns and organize information. You build some great Inukshuit with your pattern blocks.

Grade 5: Today we looked at growing patterns with models. The next arrangement was built from the arrangement before in a regular way. Look for patterns down the columns of tables and across tables. Review the pattern in the example you did in class. How many layers will there be in a stack of 144 boxes?

Learning Skills
Review the goal and success criteria for RESPONSIBILITY learning school using your agenda. What do you need to work on?

Social Studies
What are the three levels of government in Canada? What are two responsibilities of each level of government? What are the names of the leaders at those three levels?
